ABOUT US

Jessica Fourie | Owner | Physiotherapist

Well known as The Arthritis Physio, Jessica covers clients mainly with arthritis, complex injuries and auto-immune conditions but also has over 17 years of experience in musculoskeletal conditions, aged care, injury prevention, education and sport. She has a deep passion for offering a holistic, natural-based approach to wellness and loves to make her clients feel empowered by knowledge and self direction.

Born from a vision to bring like-minded practitioners together, The Arthritis Physio was rebranded in 2019 to Health in Motion Limited. Located in the quaint, rural township of Te Kowhai, Hamilton, Health in Motion's founder Jessica Fourie, believed that this unique health hub needed to be a special place for wellness.

When not in the clinic, Jessica is found either in the kitchen, or the outdoors enjoying everything from tennis to camping with her family.

Vandghie Badenhorst | Clinical Nutritionist

Vandghie is our resident clinical nutritionist. She qualified as a Dietitian in 2008 at the University of the Free State in South Africa and worked as a Clinical Dietitian for 6 years, treating a variety of patients and clients, ranging from the critically ill in hospital to assisting clients with lifestyle change.

Together with her husband and 2 children, she moved to New Zealand in 2014 where she worked for a pharmaceutical company for 4 years. Here she gained a deeper understanding of supplements, medication and quality standards during manufacturing.

After experiencing her own health issues and then the frustration of not getting the answers she needed, Vandghie became passionate about understanding the body inside out. Vandghie is great at helping women demystify the complexities of their bodies by educating on the impact of hormones on overall health.

She also loves experimenting in the kitchen, which ensures that she has an arsenal of ideas and recipes to share with her clients.

Vandghie has a ‘non-diet’ approach.  She believes that the smallest step in the right direction can be the biggest step for your health.  She loves giving people hope where there has been none for years!  She will assist you to make lifestyle change, choose supplementation wisely and support you along the way to find the right ‘formula’ for you…

In her spare time, you will find Vandghie next to the sport fields or diving pool, supporting and enjoying life with her 3 favourite people.

For any bookings or questions, contact Vandghie directly on wellness@vandghie.com or find her at https://www.vandghie.com/
